Gentleman Duck Holding Umbrella for Lady Cat on Antique Rose Glass Top Ornament

These character animals were hand-cut from an 1880s story book and meticulously reinforced. Mr. Duck, in his dapper bowler cap, offers his umbrella (I added a wire handle and tiny lace edging) to Mrs. Cat. They seem to be rejoicing in the spring rain, as they perch on the edge of a very old antique dusty rose top ornament, turned up-side down as a basket. I added our best antique gold Dresden papers, antique metallic silver loop trim, and delicate antique openwork lace, along with an antique ombre aqua blue ribbon bow for a very delicate ornament.
