This paper and tinsel candy container is made much in the same way as the handmade paper Christmas ornaments that were created in Victorian times. On Christmas Eve, parents would tuck sweet treats and little paper toys inside the cones for their children to discover in the morning.

Antique scrap maiden holding fruit bowl, beautiful antique scrap fruit centerpiece with antique Dresden “A Merry Christmas” script, early vintage holly gift-wrap paper, antique berry crepe paper (inside), antique Dresden paper scallop border, antique tinsel roping.
