Finding a creative way to turn an antique postcard into two ornaments was part of the fun when I cut out the bunny with the striped shirt surveying two expressive eggs, and paired him with a very old unsilvered and faded pink ornament with details that reminded me of a painted egg. I added my own antique fabrics and Dresden paper trims to accent what was already there, and selected vintage gold Dresden paper scallop border outlined with beautiful antique velvet chenille in bright pink, for a little round fence to create an environment for artist rabbit. After candy-striping a clear glass pike with fun vintage trims matched to the “egg” ornament, I tucked the Rabbit in and added fine vintage Easter grass in lovely faded green. The resulting adorable ornament is so perfect for an Easter tree or as a super cute fantasy ornament for Christmas.
