You can’t get more one-of-a-kind than this topper I made for Brenda’s Irish themed tree. I started with an antique postcard and cut out the couple inside the heart with the little shamrocks and added vintage crêpe paper and vintage composition shamrock and hat decorations. I cut out the St. Patrick’s Day wording from another antique postcard and glued it on top of vintage green and gold ribbon. The horseshoe shape was created from scratch with mid-century Christmas foil garland, vintage tinsel and Dresden paper covered over cardboard. The backside is decorated with a shamrock from another antique postcard that is embossed with silk fabric printed with an Irish landscape. HANDMADE AND SIGNED BY GAIL GIAIMO.
