Dennis loves the old German fairytale scraps, especially those featuring Hansel and Gretel. These antique die-cuts were especially popular and displayed the children holding a variety of gingerbread treats. For this handsome 4” die-cut boy, I added a fancy Victorian trim with silk tassels under his arms, and matched him with a large oval double-indent ornament with lots of character. I added antique green velvet ribbon the same color as his vest, along with many other antique fabrics and Dresden papers. I created a gingerbread heart of my own with a candied fruit piece in the center to tie in the theme.
