Dennis requested a set of commemorative ornaments of famous presidents to bring stars and stripes to his tree this year! Republican James Garfield, our 20^th president, looks resplendent on this U.S. shield (emblem from the great seal) I made from scratch and decorated with red and white antique silk ribbon, vintage blue velvet, vintage silver Dennison paper stars (early ones), antique Dresden papers and Victorian bump tinsel garland. The back-side, just as fancy as the front, has an embossed eagle with liberty bell and flag (hand-cut from an antique postcard), and rare antique crepe-paper stars and stripe border.
