SPECIAL FEATURES

Dennis supplied me with a concept for this ornament, inspired from an original large antique Santa with cotton body and oversized arms holding Christmas surprises for the children (see Create A Victorian-Inspired Tree, bottom of page). What started as very rough concept turned into an amazing fanciful piece, thanks to Dennis’ vision for me to create “A starry midnight feeling”. I added various antique and vintage Dresden paper stars, mica flakes, and tiny flecks of antique silver glitter. Cloak and coat are made of old cotton batting. The antique scrap head was paired with hard-to-find arms. The end result? Absolutely magical!! Lovingly handcrafted and signed by Gail Giaimo.
