Dennis saw a similar cotton batting circle-star ornament and requested another similiar to it. I selected a handsome likeness of our beloved first president (carefully hand-cut from an antique post-card), and tucked him behind a RARE and beautiful die-cut 120 year-old illustration of the white house. On the back side of the ornament I selected a VERY RARE illustration from the same artist of the very first Washington monument located in Baltimore Maryland designed by Robert Mills, the same architect who designed the Washington D.C. Monument several decades later. Ornament is intricately rimmed in beautiful patriotic vintage Dresden paper trims and fabrics along with vintage Japan-made 48 state silk flags.
