Reserved For Leanne - Santa Holly Candy Container Ornament with Rare Gold Embossed Dresden Papers

7” tall x 3” wide ~Fabric-lined container opens from the top. Victorians would have hung these on branches late on Christmas eve with sweet treats concealed inside for children to discover in the morning.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Leanne asked me to make a candy container similar to one that was sold. I made a cylindrical candy container basically from scratch by starting with a cardboard tube, creating my own top and bottom, and decorating it with vintage green embossed foil paper (around cone), antique silk fabric (inside) and rare antique gold embossed Dresden paper acanthus leaf border. The gold “Merry Christmas” on the lid of the container is a beautiful rare antique Dresden paper script!
