Mike loves Easter themed ornaments for his Christmas tree and requested that I incorporate his 1908 postcard of two love-birds (adult chicks, how cute!) onto a cotton batting moon-shaped ornament. I used a soft vintage cotton tree-skirt - with a few colorful sparkles left intact - for the moon, and added antique fabric trims (including mellow yellow silk ribbon ruffle) that matched the chicks’ adorable Victorian attire, as well as Dresden chevron border, elaborate antique Dresden paper stars, and antique tinsel garland.
