Stacy requested that I create a set of cotton and paper ornaments reminiscent of the early folk style popular for during the late 1800s. I had made an ornament for myself many years ago based on a 5-point star, with antique silk tassels hanging from the ends, antique scraps in each point, and a glass ornament hanging from the center. For this one I selected Stacy’s favorite presidents, (Monroe, Washington, Lincoln, Grant, and Adams) and covered a vintage paper bell with cotton for the center decoration. Antique tinsel rope, Dresden papers galore, and vintage red-white-and-blue trimmings complete the patriotic look!
