    SPECIAL FEATURES

Our largest cotton batting ornament yet! I started creating this amazing ornament, commemorating a crucial time in America’s history, by cutting George Washington from a century-old postcard. The original illustration depicted a flag much like the real vintage fabric flag you see, waving in the wind. I then fashioned a cardboard boat shape the right proportions, covered it with very old antique cotton batting and added fabulous one-of-a-kind details like antique metal eagle and rare antique wire tinsel anchor. I then added “General Washington” label (created from the same postcard) gorgeous multicolored Victorian bump-tinsel, antique twisted metallic cording, and Dresden paper railing. The handle for hanging the ornament was made with antique fabric ribbon and wired tinsel rope.

Lovingly handmade and signed by Gail Giaimo.
