Stacy adores all things patriotic, especially ornaments that look like the whimsical early creations that combined a variety of different materials in unique an imaginative ways – just as were made prior to 1900 in Victorian times. Our most popular president, a handsome likeness hand-cut from an antique postcard, is tucked inside a antique spun-cotton bell embellished with remnants from an antique American flag, and hangs from a cotton batting balloon decorated with vintage patriotic Dennison paper stars and silk flag (from an antique silk kerchief). Our earliest antique Dresden papers and tinsel garland decorate all sides of the ornament, and the back-side tells the story of Washington crossing the Delaware.
