A fabulous and versatile ornament that can be hung from a tree branch or displayed as a free-standing Christmas decoration.  Two-part box covered with antique wrapping paper is reminiscent of the charming, ever-popular candy-container decorations made in Victorian times that contained treats for children to discover on Christmas day!

This lovely 8" tall heavy cardboard embossed scrap, culled from an 1880s advertising piece, was missing the top piece. We used our imagination and provided our own wooden pole, antique braided rope, and trio of beautifully embossed golden paper bells (hand-cut from an antique post-card), along-with antique ribbon and brass cap (for top of pole). Cardboard box was covered with antique holly paper and trimmed with early vintage Dresden papers and antique and vintage fabrics.  Our best antique fluffy tinsel roping beautifully frames this fantastic piece!!!  Hand made and signed by both Glenn and Gail Giaimo.
