6 ½” tall, including handle
SPECIAL FEATURES
This 3-D scene is set inside one of our best nut-cups - a six-sided one in two-tone green with painted zig-zag edge, probably from the 1940s. The maiden was hand-cut from a St. Patrick’s Day post-card from the early 20th century. The ship is a beautiful intricately die-cut and embossed antique scrap, all backed to special paper (gold on the back-side). There are vintage lily-of-the valley millinery flowers as well, which, with the maiden and the ship, provides a nice three-dimensional effect. The antique scrap pansy and flowers have tiny lettering “I think of thee” on the pink edged bow, with vintage composition shamrocks tucked behind them. The wired handle is encased with antique metallic threads and a beautifully frames the scene. This decoration is designed to be freestanding or to hang from a tree branch. Hand-made and signed by Gail Giaimo.
