Here is your opportunity to buy one of Gail’s finest flatwork paper dolls, usually made for our customers as custom ornaments!  Without Gail’s expertise to restore this adorable scrap girl, she may have been lost to us forever!  She was meticulously repaired (see girl’s right hand) and backed to antique velvet; top of original flag was gone and Gail restored the flag pole and added antique Dresden paper finial and antique gold braid with tassels. Her jointed legs (they can be rotated) were made from scratch and covered with antique silk (stockings), vintage “leather” paper (boots), and fabulous Dresden paper and fabric trimmings. Her skirt is made of antique cotton batting (salvaged from an 1860s quilt), crepe paper, and antique fabrics, to include fabulous polka-dot organza and fine cotton netting.  For the perfect final touch, antique silk florals accent her hat.
