THE STORY BEHIND THIS ORNAMENT
In a magical woodland territory that humans never see, you’ll find talking creatures and plants that grant wishes. One winter there was a sudden thaw that woke a bumblebee hive from their winter slumber. Spring came early this year and the Queen knew her children would die without honey for their hive. As crocuses are some of Spring’s earliest blooming flowers, an envoy of two bees were sent by the queen to ask for a special favor. Would the fair crocus maiden allow her flowers to open early so they could be the first to gather nectar? She said “yes” and sent a warm wind to kiss the flowers open for all the bees to collect what they needed; the hive was saved! Hand-made and signed by Glenn Giaimo and Gail Giaimo.
